Join us for a Discussion on How the Recent SCOTUS Decision Affects Employers
On June 15, the Supreme Court of the United States decided in Bostock v. Clayton County, Georgia that the protections of Title VII of the 1964 Civil Rights Act extend to individuals who are discriminated against because of their sexual orientation or gender identity.
For HR Professionals, the Court's decision is clear: employers cannot discriminate against employees on the basis of sexual orientation or gender identity.
Join employment law attorneys Xavier Lightfoot and Devon Williams on July 15 at noon for a webinar that will provide an in-depth explanation of these Title VII changes, including how employers can prevent employment discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation or gender identity.
In addition, the attorneys will highlight the need to update employment handbooks or policies to stay in compliance with federal law and share their thoughts on why employers should also continue to conduct periodic training of employees and supervisors.
